New Year, New OSHA Penalties
The Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvement Act (yes, it really uses the word “Act” twice), signed into law in 2015, mandates that penalties for violations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) should automatically increase each year according to the previous year’s inflation rate.
In case you weren’t feeling inflation’s sting already, here are the new penalties for OSHA violations in 2023:
Other than Serious: now $15,625 per violation
Repeat and Willful: now $156,269 per violation
Even if your business is an office environment, OSHA has applicable rules. Make sure you know what they are and get in compliance if you are not already - we can help. Contact us today.
