Handbook Changes to Review

  • Paid Leave

  • Drug and Alcohol policies

  • Telework policies

  • Temporary policies

  • Workplace harassment

Review Your Employment Application

  • Does it contain the appropriate disclaimers and disclosures?

  • Check your application for prohibited inquiries

o   Salary history

o   Ban the Box

o   Fair chance legislation

Other Things to Note

  • The minimum wage increased in 26 states.

  • Have you hired more people, changing your requirements?

  • Have you added a government contract, triggering additional requirements?
